Medical content on this site is written by Dr. M. Ali Tawfik Alyouzbaki, MD, a ophthalmologist. Where other people help with drafting or editing, Dr. Alyouzbaki reviews and approves every medical statement before it is published.

How content is researched

• Clinical statements are based on current guidance from professional bodies and on peer-reviewed research.
• Sources are cited on each page and collected on the References page.
• Where evidence is limited or mixed, the page says so.

Medical review

Each medical page shows a last-updated date. Pages are reviewed at least once a year, and sooner when major guidance changes.
